Fundraising and Events

Goodtimes Gala committee

Seeking people who love The Goodtimes Project and enjoy event planning, logistics, and procurement (asking people for donations). Work with a fun group of people to put on an amazing event that is the largest camp fundraiser of the year! Commitment requirements are to attend monthly committee meetings and to see your assignments through between September–April.

single-day help

In addition to committee help, we're always on the lookout for individuals to help on single or multiple day occasions, such as pickup or delivery of items, setup or tear down, or working the day of an event.

Opportunities arise as events are scheduled on our calendar, but here is a sampling of volunteer help we've needed in the past:

  • Wine pick up from vintners

  • Moving items from the office to the event venue

  • Helping onsite with silent auction

Camp Visitors and Volunteers

Full-Time Camp Staff

Looking to give and get the most from your time? We need caring and responsible adults (must be 18 years or older) to volunteer between 1-9 days of their time to be on staff at our week-long, one day, and weekend camps. There's so much to know we built a whole page about it.

single-day help

In addition to our full-time camp staff, we rely on other individuals to give from a couple of hours to a full day of their time to make our camps run. These day-of volunteers supplement our staff by providing extra hands to make programming, activities, and transportation possible. With each year comes a new timeline and new requests, but samples of ways we could use your help include:

  • Activity or Arts & Crafts helpers

  • Alaska camper airport pickup/return

  • Camper check-in and check-out

  • Camp setup and teardown

  • Sample list from 2016

Groups or individuals

Whether you're part of a group (company, organization, or institution) that wants to collectively donate your time or you're an individual who wants to volunteer on your own, we'd love to see how we can connect.

Please note that our top priority is ensuring a positive and safe camp experience for our campers and that may mean limiting the number of visitors/volunteers that we invite to join us at camp. That also means that we have a few rules, including:

  • All volunteers must be at least 18

  • For health reasons, all visitors must be immunized/vaccinated and no children under the age of 12 months can be brought to camp for any duration of the visit

  • All visitors and volunteers need to be approved and expected by the camp director
